Whether you choose to sit outside with the sounds of the river meandering by or in the spacious café interior with the waterwheel turning and views of the river and fields beyond, you are assured of a warm Lakeland welcome.

Open throughout the year, the Sawmill offers delicious seasonal produce all day. Breakfast ranges from a full cooked Lakeland breakfast to a pancake stack or simply toast and preserves. Lunch offers a wide variety of smaller and large plates including homemade soups, sandwiches to local meats and daily specials including Vegan and vegetarian options. Alternatively, you may simply want a drink and slice of cake or delicious local farm ice cream.

Fresh, local produce

We use local produce where possible, working closely with local producers and suppliers so we know the provenance and origin of the food on your plate. Whether it is breakfast, lunch or tea & cake our aim is to find and use the best ingredients. Many of those ingredients, be it Wasdale lamb, flour from the Eden valley, Lakeland beers or local farm ice cream can be found in the farm shop where we support small producers wherever possible.
