All our lamb is sourced from Wasdale and Ennerdale. Predominately it is Herdwick lamb, the traditional Lake District breed made famous by Beatrix Potter. Herdwick is naturally reared on the fells and it, to together with the traditional farming system it supports, was critical in gaining World Heritage Status for the Lake District National Park. Slow maturing it is full of flavour and is often sold as Hogget as it can often be aged more than 12 months when ready for market.
